This post is dedicated to all you breastfeeding mama’s out there. Breastfeeding is hard. You just have to stay strong and hold on. It sucks up your energy and makes you lethargic if you do not have a proper diet. I have always heard of pregnancy cravings but oh my breastfeeding cravings are REAL and I did not know this until I experienced it first hand. And the hunger pangs! I am ravenous after every feeding session. Before I felt I had a limit to my appetite but now even after eating one whole pack of cookies i feel i could eat more. My stomach has become a bottomless pit.
All through my pregnancy I craved sweets like hell and it still continues. I have been trying to lose my mommy pooch but the cravings aren’t helping me at all. So i have to continuously come up with healthy alternatives .This banana chocolate chip muffin is just one of them…trust me its sooo good and makes up for a really healthy make-ahead snack.
Now you must be thinking oh come on who has time for baking and stuff, I’m lucky if I can even make dinner, but that’s the best part its literally so easy. You just have to stuff these ingredients in a blender. whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….. pour the batter in a muffin tray and throw it in the oven for 20 mins. That’s all it takes.
so the ingredients are:
two ripe bananas
half cup dates(substitute for sugar and keeps your energy level up)
two cups of oats( sooo good for milk production)
one teaspoon baking powder
half teaspoon baking soda
Mix everything together in a blender. Pour it in a muffin tray.Top it off with some dark chocolate chips(which is also good for milk production).put it in the oven for 20 mins and your healthy bites are ready. its really that simple.just give it a try!
